Comments from other students

Many of your youtube videos are being watched by other students from around the world.  Please if you get a comment click on their link and return the favour.  Here is a comment on one of your videos

Turnstudent27 from Wingham,Ont: What an amazing video. This video has caught my attention and is making me want to do something about this topic. Why did you guys pick this issue of justice? I had recently done a project on gender discrimination in India, and this video relates to my project. I really enjoyed the beginning of this video it was very unique! Very well done!

Child Abuse has always been a major issue in our world and I think you reflected on this Social Issue amazingly. Adding the transitions in your video added to it. I also liked how you added the 3 dots in because it added some suspense to the video. I do not know anyone that is abused I think many children are and it needs to be stopped. This video really made me want to do something about this issue. Why did you decide to pick child abuse as your issue? Turnstudent27 from Wingham,Ont

It would be great to comment on other videos too.  You should comment on our videos and see what the difference was between version 1 and 2.  Great work on your 2 minutes to make a Difference.  I hope you enjoyed the project.

Finding CC music on the Web for your Movie

Finding CC Music on the Web

Dig.ccmixer

Many easy ways to use this site.  I prefer to go to Instrumental Music for films, Youtube etc.  Go through the many samples to determine what music you wish to use.  Many are not long so you an loop them so that the music is quiet and soft underneath your speaking. This is the best sit I have found so far.  Take your time and find the music that will set the tone for your movie.  Remember to get all the information needed to give the proper citations in your credits.

To get the credits you can click the small i beside the hyperlink on the music page.  Then printscreen the credits.  It will give you the artist, cc rights and anything else you need.

To Download just click the download arrow beside the i.

Enjoy searching for music.

2minutes to make a difference April 5 to 9th

During this week please make sure you have done the following:

  1. Collected all media for your movie.  This means that all CC images and movies have been placed at your google document.  The links are very important so be sure to have left them behind too at the google document.
  2. You need to have a script.  What are you saying during your movie.  You need to be explaining what the issue is that you have chosen.  What is the cause and why is it important.  Be sure to use your research to back up anything you are saying.
  3. You need to tell us HOW to make a difference.  You have explained what the issue is in the movie not tell us How we can make a difference on a local level and on a global level.
  4. Your script should be up to 2 minutes long.  You will be able to use some music to fill in some parts but most of your movie should be you explaining the issue you have chosen.
  5. To make your movie more realistic you should have talked and interviewed an expert in your cause.  You can record that interview of use it as part of the text in your movie.
  6. The script for you movie should be imported into your google document.
  7. The script and images and movies should go together.  Remember your story arc.  At the 2/3 to 3/4 point in the film you need to switch gears and go from Why we need to make a difference to How we can make a difference.
