2 Minutes to make a Difference 2012

Welcome to part 2 of your movie project.  this week you are expected to have the following things done:
  • use the group information in class to add as many notes to your graphic organizer
  • Choose one of the 6 topics you have an organizer on to be your topic for the movie
  • Research that topic further using the links provided in this post.
By the next Monday February 20th you need to have the following done:
  • Paragraph explaining why you have chosen your topic
  • extra notes (up to 30 points) on your topic
All note taking should be done or copied to your Google presentation (only one presentation per group).   Please make sure you have shared that presentation with your group members, and your LA teacher.  mlee@wsd1.org, mwilson@wsd1.org and me chris.harbeck@gmail.com

Someone Needs you at Plaza Middle School Part 2

Well they have done it again.  Plaza has requested that we participate in their problem of the week.  Here it is.

Please leave a comment behind at the blog and paste it into their youtube feed.  If your comment is too long, please cut it up into smaller pieces and paste it into their youtube channel.  The room with the most comments receives some more sugar from me:)

Work hard, Manga High still needs you.

Pythagoras Scribe Edit

In preparing for your parent quiz we need to add some information to your Pythagoras Post.  Here are the instructions:

  • add the label pythagorean relationship to your post
Now add the following three questions.  The easiest way is to copy them to a piece of paper and take photos of them.  Upload the photos to your post.

1. Answer in a short paragraph and with diagrams

2. Solve for the missing side length.

3. Is this a right triangle? Prove it!!!

For those of you who have not done a Pythagoras post yet you need to choose 3 questions from the text book and explain your answers.  Please add the label pythagoras to your post.

Someone needs you!

Plaza Middle School has sent us a video and wants our help.  Check out their word problem!

Please leave your solutions behind here at the blog and at their yourbe site.  The room that leaves the most solutions behind will win a prize on Monday! For those of you who are really "lazy" please cut and paste your blogger comments into their youtube feed.

Good luck
