Time for your third chapter

Add the Labels chapter 3, dividing integers

Add a title line (in the post not at the top) of Dividing Integers

Here is what you need to have in Chapter 4 (to make a ÷ sign on a Mac use option? )

• What is Partitive Division? Show Partitive Division on a number line for the following quesiton
• 6÷2=  and -6÷ (-2)=
• What is Quotative Division? Use Quotative division to solve (-6)÷2=
• How can the Multiplicative Inverse help you solve 6÷(-2)=

Explain the sign rule for division using 6÷2=  and -6÷ (-2)= and (-6)÷2= and 6÷(-2)=

If you missed the class for your Term 2 Reflection here is what you need to do

Title Term 2 Reflection

Labels "Term 2 Reflection" Audioboo, display name

In the body of the post embed your audio boo and you can also cut and paste your reflection from your Google Document.

For your E-Portfolio you need to have the following

• Audioboo of the Term 2 Reflection and the text from the Term 2 Reflection
• Your final Percent Video and Links to your Percent Post
• Surface Area and Volume.  You need a link to your blog work showing your understanding of Surface Area and Volume.  Also you should embed your movie if you made one.

Make sure these are done by Friday.  If they are not they will only receive 50% max.  You also will be held back from the movie on the last day before the break.

2 Minutes Update

Here is your latest update for your 2 minutes project.  All of this will be done at your Google Presentation.

For each participant choose 2 to 3 of your big questions.  For each question create a slide with the following questions.  That means that each question will  have a minimum of 7 slides or more if you need it.

1. What is _____________ define the topic. Where does this topic happen? Who is affected by the topic.
2. Who is involved in or affected by __________________ . (Give Details and examples) Explain how.
3. When did this issue begin (brief history of Issue) Why did it begin? When did people start caring? Why?
4. What are the causes of your topic? (Why is this an issue today, why does it exist?)
5. What are the effects of your topic? (What are the consequences or negatives that happen as a result of your topic?)
6. What organizations are available to help? Who are they and what do they do?
7. What can I do to Help? How can I make a difference? (action plan with details 5 w's and H) Think of 3 doable ideas

Those are the titles on each of those slides.  Under the titles do the research.  Good luck:)

Audioboo

Today in class we are going to experiment with audioboo.  It is a free program that allows you to upload sound to any website.  We are going to reflect on your second term.  I want you to think for 10 minutes about this term.

• What did you do well on, 
• Where did you struggle and 
• How will you do better next term?
• What did you learn about percent, surface area and volume?

I also want to to explain the difference between volume and surface area.  How are they different and what do the have in common.

You need to create some jot notes in your notebook or Google Docs because you will be recording your own voice to capture this reflection.

When you are comfortable you can get a mic from the bucket and go to the lab.  In the lab open up Firefox and find Audioboo.  You will need to create an account.

1. Use your google email (or the email you use everyday)

5. Go back to audioboo and click the record link

7. With your mic plugged in record your boo.    This will be your explanation of what you did this term and what the difference between surface area and volume are.

9. Once you are done hit publish be be sure to have the proper tags in place.  You will tag your boo with spmath, your username from blogger (Mark873) and "term 2 reflection".  
10. You now are ready to get the embed code. 
11. The small embed button is in green.  The embed code looks like this. Copy it to your clipboard.  Then go to blogger and create a new post.  Title it Term 2 Reflection, label it Audioboo, DisplayName(Mark873), and "Term 2 Reflection"
12. Switch from composer to edit html.  Paste the code into the post.  Then Publish.  You are done.

Congratulations on creating your first podcast and audioboo.  That was simple wasn't it!!
