Here is your homework for the long weekend.  Do the homework book pages 12,13,14,15 and the following two questions.

How do we check these proportion statements to see that they are correct.
Also using your running and walking 10 m information do the following work.

    1)The way we check to see if a proportion statements are correct is by doing multiply.
    4x6=24 3x8=24 6x4=24 8x3=24

    2)walking 10m
    walking-9
    100m
    it does 9x100= 900 and the 10x90=900 so it is correct the answer is 90

    1. We check these proportion statements to see that they are correct by cross multiplying.
    4x6 = 24 & 8x3 = 24.
    3x8 = 24 & 6x4 = 24.
    6x4 = 24 & 8x3 = 24.
    4x6 = 24 & 3x8 = 24.

    2. Nicole (walking), 20m (12.6), 600m.
    20x378 = 7560. & 600x12.6 = 7560
    That means that 378 is the correct answer.
