I also got the same answer which is 2, because as you see in example number 1, if you used cross-multiplication, the answer were equal which is 20=20 but in the problem, it's 15=15.
If you use cross-multiplication: 2 x 7.5 = 15 6 x 2.5 = 15
15 = 15
If you divide the numerator to the denominator: 2 / 6 = 0.33333333..... 2.5 / 7.5 = 0.33333333.....
0.333... = 0.333...
If you divide numerator to numerator and denominator to denominator:
2 / 2.5 = 0.8 6 / 7.5 = 0.8
0.8 = 0.8
The fractions 2/6 and 2.5/7.5 is an equivalent fraction.
I think the answer is 2 because when you divide it by 6 it equals to = 0.333333333

x/6 = 2.5/7.5
7.5/6= 1.25
2.5/1.25= 2
2/6 = 2.5/7.5
To make sure my answer was right I used multiplication:
2x1.25= 2.5
6x1.25= 7.5
2/6 = 2.5/7.5
